« The house was exactly as advertised, clean and practical. Beautiful living space and big comfortable bedrooms. We were 8 people and could have easily fitted 4 more! Location is very good with shops and restaurants nearby. The centre is also within a short walking distance. Pierre was super helpful and gave us great advice. We highly recommend the house! Thanks for a wonderful week. »
I am so glad we picked this apartment during our stay in Bordeaux, Pierre is very helpful and friendly on answering all my question before our trip, and when we arrived, he was there to welcome us, show us around the house and explain to us on everything we need to know during our trip. The house is just amazing, it is the same as what you see on the pictures, the house is very clean and tidy, fully equipped with all you need in the house. It is perfect for big family! highly recommend for people who travel in a group! I would definitely come back and stay here again!

Pierre was very nice and polite at all times, showing full availability to our arrival. The house is gorgeous, large, nice and well located. Recommended for families and large groups who enjoy space in a house.

Our host Pierre was extemely accommodating and helpful in everything from meeting us upon arrival, to flexible moving out hours, providing us all the good tips for visits and important places to go to and arranging important visits which we would not have been able to do without him. He was always available to assist and we working with him was great pleasure. The apartment was amazing – fully fits the description on the website. It was very luxurious, a lot of space around, excellent for a large group or family, clean and in great condition. There was also a garage for parking which we found very useful. The neighbourhood is really nice, short walk to the main part of town, supermarkets and stores around. Highly recommend this apartment and host !!

Pierre was the perfect host. He helped us with transfers to and from the airport as well as provide great local advise of the best places to visit, eat and drink at. The house was amazing and well kept with everything you could ever need. The property is a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Bordeaux with great little shops along the way. Pierre ensured we felt right at home and gave us a great start to our Bordeaux trip. I strongly recommend your group stays at Pierre’s house if you ever visit Bordeaux. – Daniel Baillie

Dates : September 05-08, 2012. The house is beautiful, elegant, well furnished. The bedding and pillows are very comfortable. The bathrooms are modern with plenty of towels and good light. The area is quiet and safe. The main living areas are on the ground floor, all of the bedrooms are upstairs, you must be comfortable with walking up the stairs. Our favorite time of day after seeing the beautiful city (by foot, we walked everywhere) was spending time outside on the patio enjoying our wine and cheese before dinner. We were 3 couples and absolutely enjoyed staying together in the house rather than in hotel rooms. The home is bright, clean, the kitchen is well equipped. There are bakeries and groceries nearby. A MUST restaurant just a few blocks away is Solena for a lovely dinner. Excellent, reserve ahead. Each time I contacted the owners for information about our stay by e mail, the answers came back very quickly. The television and wifi worked perfectly. We did not have time to use the party/movie room downstairs, it is a great space. This is just a lovely, historic, well restored property that made us feel right at home.

Dates : July 16-20, 2012. We recommend this lovely home wholeheartedly, and certainly hope to return some time soon. The house was absolutely beautiful — just like the photos — and in a wonderful location in Bordeaux. It is in a quiet neighborhood with little shops nearby. There’s a place to buy fresh bread just around the corner, as well as several grocery stores and a dry cleaner within less than five minutes walk. You will be within walking distance of many sites, shops, and restaurants. It is also close to public transportation, which is fabulous and gets you all around Bordeaux very easily. The house was large enough that my husband and I, my father, and our two adult children each had private space, plus wonderful public areas as well. (Having come from tiny hotel rooms in Paris, we were thrilled not only with the wide open spaces but also with the large, American-style appliances and beds! The washing machine and dryer deserve special mention, because being able to do laundry meant we were able to pack less clothing for our international trip. Quite a luxury!) The only tricky part is parking if you choose to rent a car (which you don’t really need if you plan to stay within Bordeaux proper). We rented a car for two days to visit some vineyards, and did manage to find parking just a couple of blocks from the house, but it may take some patience. We fell in love with Bordeaux, and our « home » while there was a big part of the experience.

Dates : July 07-14, 2012. We had a wonderful stay at this superb house. Everything was great, starting with the booking. Alex was very responsive and professional. A few weeks before our stay, Pierre, who was managing the house, was introduced to us by email. He offered to answer questions, set up tours, etc. We asked him to arrange French lessons for our children and take us to visit some vineyards (both of which worked out very nicely). The house itself is just as grand and beautiful as it looks in the pictures. The furnishing is tasteful and all the beds, sofas, etc., were very comfortable and luxurious. It has everything you could need and was delivered spotless. We were 2 families with a total of 9 people and had plenty of room to spread out. The location is also fantastic, at less than 10-minutes walk to the old Bordeaux district as well as to a large supermarket. The house is also very organized — the office has wifi and a computer for your use, the house manual is very thorough and complete. Upon check-in, Pierre showed us the entire house as well as explained the layout of the town and where the shops are, etc. There was a little problem with an appliance a few days into our stay and Pierre promptly came and fixed it. All in all, an excellent experience.

Dates: April 04-22, 2012. The house was absolutely fantastic, so many thanks.

Dates : March 18th-20th 2011. Because the apartment was quite new and hadn’t been reviewed, I was a bit dubious as I only normally stay in places that come recommended (I am quite fussy!). I was not disappointed – the place was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t quite believe that the rate I paid was correct! I thought it was very reasonably priced for the outstanding accommodation that was provided. There was a group of 11 girls who stayed for a hen weekend of wine tasting and I couldn’t fault our stay – the accommodation and it’s layout was perfect for us and would easily be perfect for a group of 3 or 4 couples as it’s very spacious and the locations of the bedrooms are quite private. The basement bar was brilliant for us as we had a few drinks and a bit of a dance one night before we went out! I can also highly recommend wine tasting with BDO Tours as a perfect partner to this accommodation. I would definitely stay here again if I was ever visiting Bordeaux.
